Techinservice Manufacturing Group has modernized 6 control afterfilters for Volokonovskiy Sugar Mill (Nika OJSC), which is a part of Rusagro group, one of the largest Russian agricultural holdings.

Modernized TF Filters at Volokonovskiy Sugar Mill

The filters of Series TF-75 were initially supplied by Techinservice to Rzevskii Sugar Refining Mill (JSC Rzevskii Sakharnik - Rusagro) in 2007 and successfully operated there until 2014. Due to the closure of the plant, it was decided to dismantle these filters and send them for installation and further operation to Volokonovskiy Sugar Mill.

The specialists of Techinservice MG restored them and carried out the complete modernization, in particular:

- replacement of filtering elements of polymeric material by filtering elements of stainless steel;

- replacement of visual control units;

- installation of automatic degassing communication lines and withdrawal of a muddy portion of filtrate.

The total filtration area of the station of 6 TF filters is 480 m2 and provides:

- high quality filtrate;

- low heat losses due to tightness of the structure and a small amount of recycling;

- continuous operation of the plant with a capacity of 5,000 tons of beet per day (with the ability to increase its capacity up to 5,500 tons beet/day).

In addition, reliability of these filters should be noted due to the complete automation of the filtering process. The SimpleSugTitan automatic control system installed by the Automation Engineering Department of Techinservice Intelligence also contributes to producing high-quality sugar, which Rusagro supplies to the country's largest confectioneries, such as Krasny Oktyabr, Rot Front and Babayevskiy.
