Ethanol production plant

Techinservice Group is pleased to announce the commissioning of UBI’s new plant in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and the launch of sales of exceptionally pure pharma-grade ethanol.

This is the first project of its kind in the Gulf region, implemented using proprietary OwerTech™ technology, which has been successfully applied for many years by leading ethanol producers in Europe and Ukraine.

The project has been thoroughly reviewed and highly evaluated by government authorities and industrial stakeholders in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

All equipment supplied by Techinservice, including the process equipment, was manufactured at Techinservice’s own engineering and manufacturing facility in Ukraine.

The proprietary OwerTech™ technology has enabled Techinservice to offer demanding customers across the Gulf region a pharma-grade product with impurity levels of less than 1 ppm.

The highly advanced robotic control system of this sophisticated process plant minimizes human error from the very first day of operation. It enables properly trained personnel to operate the plant efficiently and reliably, even without extensive prior operating experience.

Plant Performance Characteristics:
Alcohol content: not less than 99.91% vol.
Steam consumption: up to 2 kg per litre of absolute alcohol
Electricity consumption: 0.8 kWh per litre of absolute alcohol, including HVAC requirements for the administrative building and process area
Methanol content: 0
Acetaldehyde content: less than 1 ppm
Fusel oil content: less than 1 ppm
Permanganate test: not less than 28
